The Lady Beaver's hosted Jamestown Friday night in the first round of the Bill Klapthor Memorial Christmas Tournament. Corry started out on fire, jumping out to an early 19-9 lead after one. Corry continued its momentum in quarter two by increasing their lead to 17 and headed into halftime up 33-16.

Corry cruised in the second half to secure the victory, 50-32, and earn a spot in the championship game tomorrow at 7:30.

Rylee Nickerson finished with 11 pts-2 assists followed by Haley Mumau with 10 pts-5 assists, Grace Allen with 9 pts-4 assists, Kaygen Rogers with 8 pts, Sadye Dyne with 5 pts-3 assists, Molly Irwin with 3 pts, Regan Kemp with 2 pts-2 assists, and Reagan Porter with 2 pts.

Defensively, Nickerson collected 13 rebounds-4 steals followed by Dyne and Rogers with 5 rebounds-2 steals each. Kemp had 4 rebounds-3 steals, Mumau with 3 rebounds-1 steal, Porter with 3 rebounds, and Allen with 1 rebound, 1 steal, and 3 blocks.

It was a great team win. We had balanced scoring from 8 different girls, played tough defense, and shared the basketball with 16 assists. 

Tomorrow, the Lady Beavers host Clymer in the championship game at 7:30.
