Corry traveled back to Fairview to square off against Girard. The Beavers started the second quarter up 10-6. Both teams traded buckets back and forth with Corry barely winning the quarter 11-10 to head into halftime up 21-16.

Corry's defense stepped up in the third, holding the Yellow Jackets to 5 pts while pouring in 17 pts of their own to go up 38-21. The Beavers ran away with it, winning 52-30.

Leading the way for Corry was Haley Mumau with a career high 18 pts-5 assists followed by Sadye Dyne with 10 pts, Grace Allen with 8 pts-4 assists, Halle Albers with 7 pts-2 assists, Reagan Porter with 6 pts, Kaygen Rogers with 2 pts, and Rylee Nickerson with 1 pt-1assist.

Allen led us on the glass with 8 rebounds followed by Nickerson with 7 rebounds, Mumau and Regan Kemp had 5 rebounds each, Dyne had 4 rebounds, Albers and Rogers with 2 rebounds each, and Porter and Madi Leofsky had 1 rebound each. Dyne also finished the game with 3 blocks.

We knew we had to improve on the defensive end of the floor. I thought our defense was soft, especially in the second quarter. I challenged the girls to end the game in the third quarter and they responded beautifully. I am really proud of them for that.
