Corry gets the win due to four guys scoring in double figures and solid defense against one the top scorers in D10.

Rylan Smith had 26, Markus Lambert had 18, Karson Chamberlin had 15, and Kamdyn Moon had 11. When we have this kind of scoring across the board we are going to be a hard team to beat, and we did a great job of distributing the ball.

After the first quarter we were tied up, and I wasn’t very pleased with the way we were executing at either end of the floor. The next two quarters we really took off offensively and did a nice job.

Our key to the game was stopping #2, Colon and we did a good job of that. Our goal was to keep him under 15 points and he had 12 due to great defense by Rylan Smith and the entire squad when they got switched off to him. We didn’t let him have an easy look tonight. Most impressively we didn’t allow him to make a three and he leads D10 in that category with 59 made threes.

Smith led the way in every category tonight. He also had 5 assist, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.

I’m most proud that every guy who stepped on the floor tonight stuck to the game plan and knew what they were to do. Every timeout we had and when guys off the bench, they were all in communication about knowing where #2 was and to not lose sight at anytime during the game.

Markus and Rylan continue to impress as they have all season, but I’m really liking that underclassmen: Karson, Kamdyn, and Ricketts have carved out such an important role on our team. They have accepted the roles and done a nice job.

Tavon, Jack, and Keaton all played great minutes for us tonight. Tavon got into some early foul trouble in the first quarter, but he got back in the groove the second half to help lead us down the stretch.
