After getting down by 7-23 with about 3 minutes to go in the first quarter, the beavers decided it was time to play. Markus Lambert was our rock all night long scoring consistently for us to help us climb back into the game. Lambert really controlled the game tonight from start to finish. Not only did he lead on the court, but he did a really nice job during timeouts to keep guys in tune and motivated when times were pretty tough. Lambert finished the night with 26 points. 

Once we started to switch everything we were able to defend better overall as a team. Offensively, we were struggling besides Markus, who had us on his back the first half. 

Karson Chamberlin went 110% percent tonight. He worked extremely hard on the defensive side of the ball. He comes up with hustle play, after hustle play for us every night. The smallest guy on the floor was our leading rebounder with 6, had 2+ steals, and on top of all of that, he went 3-3 from beyond the arc. He made two really timely 3 point shots late in the game for us. He really brings all the energy for us. I love the way that kid plays basketball. 

Cameron Ricketts got back to his solid defense. I spoke with him on Monday about being a little timid and not getting to the spots he normally does. I thought he responded well tonight. He got his first charge call of the year on the defensive side, got a few rebounds, and played hard. He also had 4 points for us. 

Rylan is always playing hard, but tonight he struggled early. Only having four points going into the half, and did not take off until the fourth quarter when he scored 8 points. He hit three really timely shots to get us back in the game. Rylan also had 5 assists tonight. 

Tavon played really good minutes and played well on the defensive side. He also got a bucket in the first half. Kamdyn Moon had 2 three point field goals to keep his streak alive. Everyone played hard tonight, and gave us all they had in the tank. 

If you were at the game, you would say we just turned it on too late. Tonight Franklin was without their best player, but has still been winning all of their games. They are deep and a very good basketball team. They beat a great Warren Team without him as well. Tonight we gave them all they could handle at the end of the game. I can't say enough about the team's grit. When we were down double digits a couple times throughout the game. A lot of teams would pack it up for the night. Corry didn't do that, and we were able to get it within two points. I thought Franklin shot the crap out of the ball, and they had an answer for every run we had.
