Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Seneca HS School

Game Date
Dec 19, 2023
Score

SENECA HIGH SCHOOL: 27

The Corry Boys Basketball Team faced off against the Seneca Wildcats on Tuesday. The Beavers fought off a slow first quarter, and trailed 10–12 going into the second quarter.

Markus Lambert carried us in the 1st quarter, keeping us in the game with 7 points. We took our time on offense, but settled for several outside shots early. Markus really seemed to be the only guy able to get in the paint early to make things happen.

The second quarter we took off and never looked back. We out scoured the bobcats 23-2 to give us a nice lead going into the half. We played with more aggression defensively and started to cause havoc on them with our pressure. Rylan got in the mix in the second with 8 points, as well as Markus with 8 more. Kamdyn Moon also let loose with 5 and Chamberlin with two. Once we saw the ball go in a few times, we caught fire.

The third and fourth quarter was a lot of the same. Rylan had himself a great second half, scoring 15 of his team high 26 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals. He had 7 three point field goals tonight.

Lambert was right behind him with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.

The duo combined  for 44 of our 68 points tonight. It’s nice to have two guys like this, they really compliment each other well.

Moon finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds.

Chamberlin finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists. Chamberlin really made some nice hustle plays once again. Specifically one really nice steal to end the second and a pass up to Kamdyn for a layup.

Several others got on the scoreboard tonight. Scouten had another 3 point basket. Landon Atha had his first varsity points, and Jack Albers was able to get back on the court and hit a three.

Other contributors were Ricketts (4 rebounds), Kornikoski (2 rebounds), Frisina (1 steal), Turben, Trask (1 rebound), and Kaydan McCray.
