Corry's 8th grade faced off against North East in the semifinals for the end of season tournament. Corry found themselves down 3-4 after quarter one. Corry continued to battle in the second quarter to head into halftime up 9-7. 

The first quarter and a half was a learning curve for the girls. North East was running a new defense that took our girls some time to figure out. They started seeing the openings a few minutes before halftime so they were really excited to get back out there.

Their excitement was in full display the entire second half. Corry poured in 11 pts in the third while holding North East to 2 pts. The Beavers continued their dominance in the fourth by scoring 8 pts and holding North East scoreless. The Beavers won the semifinal match 28-9. 

Scoring for Corry was Liv Swan with a season high 8 pts followed by Maci Kemp with 7 pts, Ava West with 5 pts and 2 assists, Emma Kight with 4 pts, Baylee Northrop with 3 pts, Mikayla Comitz with 1 pt and 2 assists and Jordyn Watrous with 1 assist. Defensively, we were led by Liv with 5 steals and 10 rebounds. Ava finished with 3 steals and 11 rebounds. Baylee had 1 steal and 6 rebounds while Mikayla and Maci had 1 steal each. Delaney Church, Emma, and Jordyn had 2 rebounds each.

With the win, Corry reached the final where they will face Fairview.
