Corry battled with Girard for the Beavers 2nd of 4 games this week. The first half was back and forth with Corry winning quarter one 7-5 and Girard winning quarter two 6-5 to head into halftime with the Beavers up 12-11.

We played well in the first half. Our defense was strong and we were getting plenty of chances offensively. We knew for the 2nd half that if we continued our defense and could start making shots, that we would be fine. 

The Beavers were able to accomplish both of those goals in the third by winning the quarter 13-8. Corry continued applying pressure in the 4th to get a well-earned 31-23 win against a strong Girard team.

Ava West led us offensively with 17 pts, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 7 steals. Mikayla Comitz followed with 5 pts, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. Liv Swan finished with 4 pts and 7 rebounds. Maci Kemp had 3 pts, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Jordyn Watrous had 2 pts, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal while Baylee Northrop and Hannah Daniels each had 1 rebound.
