The 8th grade Lady Beavers hosted the undefeated Huskies in basketball action Tuesday afternoon. It was all defense in quarter one as both teams made it difficult to score. The quarter ended with Harbor Creek up 2-0. Quarter 2 was very similar with both teams playing tough defense while being unable to generate much offense. Corry went in to halftime down 3-7. 

I liked our position at the half. With only being down 2 buckets, we were very much in the game.

Starting the 2nd half, Corry was able to go on a little run and notch things up at 10 apiece. Heading into the fourth quarter, Corry continued to battle but eventually fell short, losing 19-12.

I was proud of how we played today.  I thought the girls played tough against a really good Harbor Creek team. Our defense was strong, and our subs stepped up and played well when we had a string of injuries in the 2nd half. It was great to see our improvement compared to the last time we played them.
