The Corry Beaver Boy's Swimming and Diving team dropped a nail-biter to their route 6 rival Union City Bears Tuesday night by a score of 83-82. The back and forth action came down to the wire where the Bears finished first and third in the 400 freestyle relay to claim the Region 2 dual. The Beavers fall to 1-1 in the Region 2 standings and will look to bounce back against the General McLane Lancers Thursday evening at the YMCA of Corry.

The Beavers were led by seniors Jonathan Albers and Aiden Knapp who maxed out with four wins apiece. Albers won the 50 (23.55) and 100 (53.59) Freestyles while Knapp won the 100 Butterfly (1:06.38) and took the diving competition. Albers and Knapp teamed up with Gavin Maleski and Logan Amy for wins in the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.04) and 200 Freestyle Relay (1:40.20). Logan Amy was also a winner in the 200 IM (2:31.62). Freshman Brandon Jackson won the 500 Freestyle (6:35.27) to round out the winning swims for the Beavers.
