Corry hosted North East for the Lady Beavers first home game of the season. Both teams got to double digits with Corry leading 14-12 after one. In the second quarter, Corry continued to battle but surrendered their lead at the buzzer to head into halftime down 21-20.

I liked our position at halftime. We talked about some adjustments to make in the 2nd half as well as what was working offensively.

In the third, Corry regained the lead thanks in part to the senior-senior connection of Halle Albers and Sadye Dyne. Dyne was able to score 8 of Corry's 12 third quarter points from Albers pinpoint post feeds. With Corry leading by five after 3, the Beavers held on to the lead for the rest of the game to get the 36-31 victory.

Our bigs played great tonight. Dyne had a game high 13 pts to go along with 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks, and 1 assist while Rylee Nickerson scored 8 pts, grabbed 15 rebounds, had 6 steals, and 1 block. 

Haley Mumau finished the game with 6 pts, 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1 assist. Kaygen Rogers scored 4 pts, grabbed 4 rebounds, had 3 steals, 2 blocks, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Albers had 3 pts, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block while Regan Kemp scored 2 pts and had 1 steal.

It was a great team win. Everyone who played scored and helped contribute to the win. We still have much to work on, but we keep taking it one day at a time trying to get a little better each day.
