Corry hosted Warren in a tough region game. Warren jumped out to a 10-6 lead after one quarter of action. Corry was able to match Warren’s scoring in the second and headed into halftime down 20-16. Corry was only able to generate 5 points in the 3rd while Warren scored 10. Being down by 9 pts starting the 4th quarter, Corry never gave up and battled to the end but eventually fell to Warren 30-48.
I am really proud of how well we played tonight. The girls played tough all game. Warren is a great team. They have multiple scoring threats, play tough defense, and are well coached.
Leading us offensively was Halle Albers with 12 pts followed by Haley Mumau with 12 pts-1 assist, Grace Allen with 4 pts-4 assists, Rylee Nickerson with 2 pts-1 assist, and Kaycee Porter and Sadye Dyne with 1 assist each. Nickerson lead us on the boards with 8 rebounds followed by Allen with 7, Dyne with 6, Mumau with 4, Kaygen Rogers with 3, and Albers and Porter with 1 each. Dyne also had 3 blocks while Allen had 2.
