Corry visited Oil City in a varsity only game. Corry jumped out to a 9-4 lead after one. Oil City battled back in the 2nd quarter to get within one with a halftime score of 21-20 Corry. In the third quarter, Corry's defense cranked up the pressure and was able to hold Oil City scoreless. With a fourteen-point lead starting the 4th, Corry finished the game strong with a 47-28 victory. 

Offensively, we were led by Haley Mumau with a career high 17 pts to go along with 2 assists followed by Grace Allen with 13 pts/1 assist, Kaygen Rogers with 10 pts, Lauren Thomas with 4 pts/1 assist, Rylee Nickerson with 2 pts/3 assists, and Halle Albers with 1 pt/1 assist.

Allen led us in steals with 4 followed by Albers with 3, Sadye Dyne with 2, and Mumau, Nickerson, and Alison Yetzer with 1 each.

Nickerson led us on the boards with 10 rebounds followed by Mumau with 8, Thomas and Allen with 5 each, Albers with 4, Dyne and Rogers with 2 each, and Yetzer with 1.

I thought the girls played a great game, especially in the 2nd half. The adjustments we talked about at halftime were executed perfectly. To hold an offensive threat like Liederbach to only 1 point in the 2nd half is a true testament to our team defense and the girl's growth throughout the season.

We have a JV only home game this Saturday at 2 pm. Please come out and support the lady Beavers as they host Northwestern.
