Corry faced off against an explosive Eisenhower team Saturday morning. Corry started off strong with balanced scoring and great defense to end the quarter up 12-6. Corry continued playing great defense to extend its lead at halftime, up 23-14. The third quarter saw both teams score 10 points each. Late in the fourth quarter, Eisenhower started to rally to pull within two but Corry was able to hold on to their lead to earn the win.

I was really pleased with our defense today. The girls played tough and talked through Eisenhower's plays.  It was just great team defense. To hold Eisenhower to only 14 points in the first half and eventually 39 total points which is 10 points under their average was an accomplishment. 

Grace Allen led all scorers with 17 points for a career high. She also had 2 assists. Halle Albers had 10 points, 2 assists followed by Haley Mumau with 7 points, 2 assists. Sadye Dyne had 5 points while Rylee Nickerson had 2 points, 2 assists. Leading us on the glass was Nickerson with 7, Albers with 6, Allen and Dyne with 4 each, Lauren Thomas with 3, Lindsey Hasbrouck and Mumau with 2 each, and Kaygen Rogers and Kaycee Porter with 1 each.

Corry begins region play on Thursday when they will face Oil City at home.
