The Corry Boys Basketball Team played against a much more physical Northwestern Wildcat team, and came away with a 73-63 win during the first round of the Jim Gruca Christmas Tournament.

Overall we played a pretty sloppy basketball game. We weren’t doing a good job on our press and we were giving them a lot of easy shot opportunities.

Offensively we scored 73 points, but we weren’t running the offense smoothly, and our shot selection wasn’t always the best. In the first half we shot 20 three point field goals to only 11 two point field goals.

Overall, we got out rebounded and gave them a lot of second and third chance opportunities

Keaton Frisina and Lucas Baker were our energy spark. Landon Deane played another nice game offensively, along with Kamdyn Moon in the second half.

Frisina and Moon led the team with 19 points a piece. Deane was right behind with 18 and Trask with 8.

Scouten played really aggressive defensively, which is something we have scene often this year. Unfortunately he got into foul trouble and couldn’t find a rhythm offensively.

We have a quick turn around and have to play a tough Harbor Creek Team tonight.
