CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS JUNIOR/SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 48.00

The Corry Boys Basketball Team traveled to Cambridge Springs and came home with a 76-48 victory. The team got into foul trouble early with multiple guys getting two fouls a piece, which made us get into some different rotations early. The beavers played 12 guys in total.

During the first half Corry had a 20 point lead, but was out of sink defensively allowing Cambridge to get some easy buckets that we shouldn’t have given up. The defense woke up during the third where we really stretched the lead.

Kamdyn Moon led the way with 17 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Moon had 5 threes on the night. He continues to be the quarterback of the team and does whatever he needs to do to make our team successful.

Keaton Frisina got into foul trouble early, but made the most of his time on the court. He ended the night with 16 points. 6 rebounds, and 6 steals. He is the bread and butter of the team. We are better when he is on the court, and we need to find a way to keep him on the floor down the stretch.

Parker Trask had himself a nice night offensively with 15 points and 6 rebounds. He was a consistent scorer in the middle for us, and we need him to keep that up.

Nick Scouten had 9 points with three 3-point field goals. Continuing to work hard on defense with 2 steals.

Landon Deane had 6 points & 7 rebounds, Kent with 4, Atha with 4 points and 3 rebounds, Canady with 3, and Baker with 2 & 3 rebounds. Canady may have had his first varsity points.

Every night we have had 3 or more double digit scorers, which is key for team success. We hope to continue to see this kind of stat sheet.

Tonight we had 12 turnovers which is the least amount we have had thus far, while making Cambridge turn the ball over 25+ times.

Landon Atha played his first game of the season, while Jack Vanchieri was out due to illness. We were 10-16 from the foul line, and we need to improve in that category as a team. Derek Yatsko also saw his first varsity action.

Friday night we play at home against Clymer.
