It was a tough loss on Tuesday night for the beavers, losing to NE 1-0. They held possession most of the game but NE was the ones to capitalize on their opportunities. Both teams only had a handful of shots. Thursday night will be the last home match against Titusville. 

Saturday morning Corry traveled to Iroquois where they earned their third win and third shutout of the season defeating Iroquois 5-0. Corry again maintained possession the majority of the time and passed well. Even though the girls scored five times they had a ton of shots on net today. The defense continues to do well eliminating any shots, making Charley Gantz, in net, have an easier day. Charley records her third shut out. Scoring for Corry was Marleigh Martin assisted by Lindsey Behm. The second goal was Mahra Goodwill assisted by Lauren Fox. The third goal was a penalty kick scored by Lindsey Behm. The fourth and fifth goal came from Mahra Goodwill on a direct kick and a run assisted by Marleigh Martin. The team has a bit of a break for the next match up where Fairview will travel to corry on Thursday. 

Tuesday night, Corry hosted Meadville for their third match of the season where unfortunately we lost 2–3 in overtime. It was a really good back-and-forth game against two evenly matched opponents. Corry scored the first two goals of the game. Both of those goals came from Mahra Goodwill, where one was assisted by Lauren Fox and the other assisted by Marleigh Martin. Middle then scored right before the end of the first half off a free kick and then again off a corner kick in the second half bringing us over overtime. Both teams had plenty of opportunities to put it away in regulation but again, it was a really good back-and-forth game. Now we have a nice little break before we travel to Iroquois on Saturday. 

On Thursday August 28th, the lady beaver soccer team hosted the Cambridge Springs Blue Devils.  On a cold and rainy night, Corry held on for their second win of the season with a final score of 3-0.  Scoring first for the Beavers was Mahra Goodwill assisted by Lindsey Behm.  Then Lindsey scored assisted by Lila Simmonsen and the third goal was score by Lauren Fox assisted by Marleigh Martin.

Coach Brendan Boucher states that the girls are continuing to play well and play together, something that he likes to see.  Many of the shots on the net missed by hitting the post or by great saves by the Cambridge Springs goalie.  Brendan continued that the three goals scored were certainly earned.

Corry's next game is Tuesday at home vs. Meadville.

Tuesday night the lady beavers  had their home opener against Iroquois. Corry starts their season with a win where the final score was 2–0. Corry held possession for the majority of the game where their ball movement and communication was what we expected but Iroquois didn’t make it easy for them to finish. They played much more defensively and crammed their side of the ball making it harder for us to capitalize. The first half finished scoreless and then Mahra Goodwill scored for us first in the second half. She had a nice break where she beat the defense and shot from about 20 yards out hitting the corner of the net. Then with seven seconds left in the game Lauren Fox found her opening and scored for our second and final goal of the night. Next will be a varsity and junior varsity match against Cambridge Springs on Thursday at home.
